This February 17 is Pancake Day. I LOVE pancakes!! Instead of making traditional pancakes, which can be fatty and loaded with sugar, here are 3 healthy pancake variations, which are very nutritious and good for your body.
1) Hearty Oatmeal Pancakes
2) 2-Ingredient Pancakes
3) Sweet Potato Pancakes
p/s If you do not have a blender, you can still make the 2-Ingredient Pancake recipe. In a bowl, mash your banana with a fork. Then in another bowl whisk the eggs. Mix both eggs and banana together. Viola, that’s your pancake batter!
Here’s a fun fact, Pancake Day is the day before Ash Wednesday, which is the final day before the commence of Lent. For the Christians, Lent is a time of abstinence. So Pancake Day is in fact the last chance to indulge and use up foods that aren’t allowed in Lent, this include fat, butter and eggs, which is why pancakes are eaten because they contain all those ingredients. Some called this day, Fat Tuesday!
