Easy Healthy Fruit Smoothie Ideas

I am still back in Malaysia and it is very easy to get cheap and fresh fruits here. And because Malaysia is so hot and sweating all day. It is actually very common for us to drink fruit smoothie especially when we are out.

So I am going to share with you some of my favourite fruit smoothies. Fruit smoothies are really easy to make. So let understand the basic of making a healthy and delicious fruit smoothie.

There are only 4 ingredients which you will need.

- Liquid (water, dairy milk, almond milk, soy milk, yogurt or greentea)
- Fruits/s (fresh or frozen)
- Ice Cubes
- Add ons (optional – protein powder, oats, chia seeds, flex seeds or goji berries)

When it comes to making fruit smoothie, there is no restrictions, no specific measurement to follow, just feel free to experiment and adjust the ingredients according to taste and sweetness level that you like.

Let's start!

1) COCONUT SHAKE (Cool & Refreshing) – 12 oz

• COCONUT, BANANA & PINEAPPLE (Top with shredded coconut & Banana)


½ cup of coconut water – 23Cals
1 cup of ice cubes
½ cup of coconut flesh – 140Cals
1 small Banana – 90Cals
½ cup of pineapple – 41Cals

Total Calories – 294Cals

Bought this right outside my housing area. Growing up, I used to drink coconut water very frequently. Because Malaysia is so hot, coconut water is a drink to keep us cool and refresh. Nowadays, Coconut water is such a popular drink with all the health benefits, one of it being , it helps to suppress appetite hence aid in weight loss.


• MANGO, PINEAPPLE & GOJI BERRIES (decorate with Pineapple)
- Goji berries, very high in antioxidants
- Mango & Pineapple, high in Vitamin C


½ medium Mango, sliced – 65 Cals
½ cup Pineapple Chunks – 41Cals
1 cup of ice cubes
¼ cup of water
2 tbsp of Goji Berries – 45Cals

Total Calories – 151Cals

• STRAWBERRIES, BANANA & GOJI BERRIES (Decorate with Strawberries)
- berries help with anti aging and to give you glowy skin.


8 medium strawberries – 32Cals
1 small Banana – 90Cals
1 cup of ice cubes
¼ cup of water
2 tbsp of Goji Berries – 45Cals

Total Calories – 167Cals

If you find that the fruits are not sweet enough, you can always add natural sweetener such as honey. Fruit smoothie are great of all occasion. 

You can have it for breakfast to boost your energy, have it as your pre-workout snack by adding a little bit of caffeine, you will boost your metabolism, have it as your post-workout snack, add one scoop of protein powder and you even can have it as meal replacement to cleanse and detox your body.
