Happiness is when you make it a priority to nourish your body with wholesome and delicious meals.
When you eat well, you live well. When you nourish your body, you nourish your mind and soul too.
People often ask me about diets; what’s the “best” diet for weight loss and to maintain a healthy weight. I don’t believe there’s one diet that fits all.
Some of you might be following a certain diet due to your own ethical or religious belief. Some just hopes that it’ll be a miracle solution to drop the excess pounds fast! Whatever your reason to follow a particular diet, it has to be realistic and sustainable long term.
I don’t like the word “diet” because it typically means restriction and there’s a timeline to it. Once you’ve achieved your goal, you might fall back into your old ways of eating because you’ve been deprived physically, mentally and emotionally while on the “diet”.
I look at it as a way of living, a lifestyle. Something you truly resonate with and you can sustain it for life. I believe in balance and moderation. I aim to eat healthy most of time, but I do enjoy my occasionally indulgences. I mean waffle or warm chocolate brownies topped with ice cream come on.
What about you? What’s your way of eating?
